Uusi Suomi had previously used the publishing platform WordPress MU, which was technically unreliable and not sensibly expandable. The need was to build new essential business concepts and interaction by improving the existing blog community Puheenvuoro.
Mearra’s vast experience in community building and in profile page building was put to good use in creating a service concept together with the client. The new service tripled the volume on the website in six months and in none of the weeks after lauching has the amount of visitors dropped under those recorded under the previous system. Every fourth visitor thinks the Puheenvuoro Blog community to be the most valuable content of the website.
During the project, all the goals set for flexibility, reliability and business concepts were met in a cost-efficient way. The new service enables continuous development as well as the creation of new possible characteristics and functions within the existing site.
