National Land Survey of Finland needed to enable self-service online on their website as well as modernize their hopelessly outdated content management system. The project started with comprehensive requirements definition already in place, but it was still decided to use an agile approach. Mearra worked together with a creative partner and team from the customer for over six months and the results of this cooperation amazed everybody. We were able to come up with solutions that were not even considered when the requirements were originally defined and the final results easily surpassed expectations of the customer.
Project also included a large investment in redoing huge amount of content for the site. Working closely together with content producers from very early stage of the project enabled efficient and usable solutions for content production. Flexibility of Drupal’s administrative interfaces was used to ensure cost-efficient custom implementation which in turn ensured high productivity.
After the project was launched it was confirmed that new self-service solutions worked even better than expected. The project was a success by any measure and customer was very satisfied with the results.
“Mearra’s expertise in Drupal and website development exceeds that of its competitors by a mile” -Mikko Laine, Project Manager
