Out of 240 proposed sessions only 80 sessions made it to DrupalCon Copenhagen. We took part in four different session proposals and were lucky enough to get two of them accepted. With so many top notch technical sessions at DrupalCon we decided to focus on our other core competence in our session proposals: Managing projects and Drupal business. This focus means our sessions will be interesting to much wider variety of different people, not only developers.
Our first session is about how to do successful Drupal projects. Based on experience of hundreds of different web projects I will explain what has been working really well for us and what not so much. I will also reveal the way Mearra works in projects and introduce our Drupal Process. Many lessons we have learned will be interesting to project managers, but I personally think the most appropriate target audiences for this session are clients, designers and developers (in that order).
Second one is a panel about managing a Drupal consulting firm. This one has a very interesting lineup of Drupal firm owners and managers! Companies in the panel include Chapter Three, Development Seed, Four Kitchens, Lullabot, Mearra, NodeOne and Palantir. "Running a Drupal consulting firm requires much more than Drupal development or design skills. You need excellent customer service, sales, project management, operations, accounting, recruiting, human resources — the list is huge! So how do successful Drupal firms make it all work?"
See you all in Copenhagen!
